Policy & Advocacy

By engaging in all aspects of the legislative process, The Washington Association of Community & Migrant Health Centers (WACMHC) policy staff serves as a voice for our membership, acting on the behalf of Community Health Centers (CHCs) to advocate for improving health care access across the State of Washington.

With engaged stakeholder and community partners, WACMHC makes a significant difference in health policy and access in Washington through our advocacy efforts. We strive to fully understand the changing dynamics of health care delivery systems, unique and distinct community challenges, and how state and federal legislation will impact the front lines of access to care; Community Health Centers.

While educating lawmakers about the CHC model and the medical safety-net, as well as supporting, opposing, and influencing specific legislation, WACHMC acts to protect those vulnerable populations of patients our member clinics serve every day.
