Policy & Advocacy

By engaging in all aspects of the legislative process, The Washington Association for Community Health's policy staff act on the behalf of Washington's community health centers to advocate for improving health care access across the State of Washington.

With engaged stakeholder and community partners, The Association makes a significant difference in health policy and access in Washington through our advocacy efforts. We strive to fully understand the changing dynamics of health care delivery systems, unique and distinct community challenges, and how state and federal legislation will impact the front lines of access to care; Community Health Centers.

While educating lawmakers about the Community Health Center model and the medical safety-net, as well as supporting, opposing, and influencing specific legislation, The Association acts to protect those vulnerable populations of patients our member clinics serve every day.
