Outreach & Enrollment

The Washington Association of Community & Migrant Health Centers (WACMHC) is committed to supporting the efforts of Washington community health centers in their Outreach and Enrollment activities to enroll current patients and other community members in health coverage offered through the Affordable Care Act.

Community Health Centers serve many low income and uninsured clients and are uniquely qualified to educate people about health coverage expansion, determine what coverage they qualify for and help them to enroll. Since October 2013, health centers have enrolled more than 800,000 people in coverage in Washington.

WACMHC provides training and technical assistance for health centers in planning and implementing their Outreach and Enrollment activities and facilitates the Outreach & Enrollment Workgroup, which is open to health center staff. The Workgroup provides an opportunity for expert training webinars for staff; peer-to-peer learning; networking with state organizations; and sharing of tools and resources. Outreach and Enrollment Best Practices for Washington community health centers and training presentations can be accessed at the Resource Bank link below.
