Retired Provider Program

  • Available year-round, contact program coordinator at Western WA AHEC for site approval.

Federal J-1 Visa Program

  • Submit required application forms year-round. Forms available online.

WA State J-1 Visa Program

  • Applications accepted beginning on October 1 of each year (i.e. 2009 program year applications will be accepted starting October 1, 2008). Applications are reviewed until 30 spaces are filled. Application forms available online.

R/UOE, R/UOP

  • Interested sites and students can contact the Western WA AHEC year round for placements.

R/UOP Dental, RUN

  • Students can apply for the dental R/UOP during their first year of dental school. Placements take place between their first and second years in dental school.
  • Senior nursing students at Seattle Central Community College can apply for and experience RUN during their final year of nursing school.
  • Interested sites contact WWAHEC year-round.

Project HOPE

  • Application packets due early March each year. Contact the AHEC of Eastern or Western Washington for specific dates

ConneX

  • Programs throughout school year and summer. Contact program coordinator at the Northwest Community Action Center for deadlines.

Northwest Dental Residency

  • Residencies start in the first part of July each year. Contact program for application and deadlines.

Rural Outreach Nursing Education

  • Second class begins January 2010. Contact Helen Kuebel, Direction of Nursing Programs at Lower Columbia College for more information.

Community HealthCorps/AmeriCorps

  • Deadlines vary site to site, contact Community HealthCorps for information on starting a program.

AT Still University

  • SOMA applications are due March 1 of each year, with rolling admissions and applicants are encouraged to apply early.
  • Dental applications are due December 1 prior to the fall of anticipated enrollment.

Nursing Education Loan Repayment Program

  • 2009 applications were due March 15, 2009. Sign-up on website for email notification of when 2010 applications become available.

National Health Service Corps Scholarship Program

  • Provider Applications: Sign-up on website for email notification of when 2010 application packets are available.
  • Site Applications: Site applications are accepted year round but must be received by March 26, 2009 in order to be approved for the 2010 school year.

National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program

  • Provider Applications: NHSC is currently accepting applications for Loan Repayment Awards funded by $200 million American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds. Applications will be accepted continuously until funds are expended or September 30, 2010, whichever comes first.
  • Site Applications: Site applications are accepted year round but must be received by March 26, 2009.

Washington State Health Professional Scholarship Program

  • State scholarship applications for the 2009-2010 school year were due April 30, 2009. Future deadlines yet to be announced. Applications must be post-marked by deadline, faxes will not be accepted.

Washington State Health Profession Loan Repayment Program

  • Provider Applications: The online Loan Repayment application will be posted in January, 2010. The deadline to submit the application will be April 30, 2010.
  • Site Applications: The online application will be available in July each year and the deadline to submit applications is the first week of September.

Core Competency Training for Community Health Managers

U-DOC at the University of Washington

  • 2009 applications were due March 2, 2009. Acceptance letters were distributed throughout April and May. UDOC will take place Sunday, June 21st, to Friday, July 24th, 2009. Please check website for information regarding future deadlines, and detailed application requirements.

Summer Medical and Dental Education Program at the University of Washington

  • Applications are available online and are due by March 1 of each year. Please see website for application requirements and details.

Native American Recruitment and Retention Program at Washington State University

  • Applications for the 2009 Camp Na-ha-Shnee were due May 1, 2009. Please check website for future deadlines.

Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine

  • PNWU-COM may close the application cycle early if the class is full and an adequate Waitlist is available. Fall 2010 – Primary application is due March 1, 2010, completed Supplemental application including all letters of recommendation is April 1, 2010.

Educational Opportunity Grant Program

  • You must apply before you enroll in school. Grants are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to students who meet the eligibility criteria. Applications are available on the website.

MultiCare Nurse Camp

  • For each session a maximum of 100 participants will be chosen based on written applications. Applications for the 2009 camp were due March 27, 2009. Successful applicants were notified by May 11, 2009. Check website for 2010 deadlines. Applications are available online.

Foundation of the National Student Nurses’ Association, Inc. Scholarship for Enrolled Nursing Students
