2009 Washington State Legislative Session
Given the projected state budget shortfall of over $7.1 billion, coupled with a failure to raise revenues, severe cuts in all areas of state government were inevitable. In collaboration with statewide coalitions–Health Coalition for Children and Youth (HCCY), Healthy Washington Coalition, and the Coalition to Protect Medicaid Dental Funding—we focused our efforts on preserving and protecting the health centers’ primary care safety net through prioritizing these critical components.
