Job Description: Summary
This position supervises the business, technical and nursing support activities and nursing staff to ensure quality service delivery and compliance with federal, state and local laws and agency policies and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Maintain oversight of nursing functions and supervision of RN staff at all ICHS primary care sites. Duties include supervising Lead RN’s; support in the hiring, training, determining workload and assignments of Nursing Staff, monitoring and evaluating performance, initiating corrective/disciplinary action, and other personnel matters.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws and agency policies and procedures. Participate in and lead the development and maintenance of clinic related policies, protocols, and procedures. Provide oversight for Continuing Education for nursing staff.
• Maintain current knowledge of nursing issues, legislation, best practices, and other related matters.
• Develop and implement goals, work plans, performance measures, and continuous improvement of service delivery for ICHS nursing functions in order to attain initiatives and goals through a spirit of service, teamwork and respect. Act in collaboration with the Clinic Support Supervisors to ensure that Medical Assistant staffs follow required guidelines/workflows/procedures.
• Prepare and review required reports as necessary.
• Develop, conduct, coordinate and evaluate appropriate in-service training as needed.
• Work with clinic providers and staff to maintain and continuously improve service delivery at all primary care sites.
• Monitor and evaluate program operations, processes and activities for quality and effectiveness at all primary care sites.
• Actively participate in Quality Improvement program and activities; initiate Quality projects and/or process improvement to attain quality service delivery. Support and review site quality initiatives.
• Assist in preparing and monitoring budget.
• Oversee clinic operations employee safety and health for ICHS, including patient safety, reporting all injuries and illnesses, completing and submitting incident/accident reports, identifying and correcting hazardous conditions or unsafe work practices to Safety and Health Committee, and ensuring staff follow all safety and health guidelines, practices, policies and procedures. Work with Risk Management and Human Resources in preventing and addressing employee and patient safety and health issues. Respond to and resolve patient complaints.
• Actively participate in safety and health and emergency programs and activities, including evacuation, drills, and education and training programs. Organize and supervise Code Blue drills at all primary care sites.
• Design and maintain infection control activities and issues, and conduct training as necessary. Follows organizational policies and procedures for hazardous material handling, bloodborne pathogens, and other safety and health policies and procedures and ensure nursing staff compliance to these initiatives.
• Understands and adheres to ICHS Compliance Standards as they appear in the ICHS Corporate Compliance Policy, ICHS Code of Conduct and ICHS Conflict of Interest Policy. Complies with all applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations and standards.
• Supervise all RN Leads and RN staff. Work collaboratively with the Health Center Managers to ensure standard nursing practice across all sites.
• Lead the Immunization Work Group including updating and maintaining workflows according to CDC and regulatory guidelines; planning and purchasing of vaccines.
• Actively participate, help develop and lead the Care Management imitative by leading, managing and mentoring care management staff/teams, to support ICHS’s achievement of care coordination deliverables on cost, clinical quality and patient experience via evidence-based, consistent care management practices
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
1. Education – Bachelor’s degree in nursing required; current and active WA State registered nursing licensure.

2. Experience – Five (5) years’ experience as a Registered Nurse, including two (2) years supervisory experience; familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR); computer proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint and prefer fluency in Asian Pacific Islander (API) language.

3. Certification/License – Current WA State Driver’s license; Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
