 INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY - Health Care Business Analyst

POSITION SUMMARYPOSITION SUMMARYWACMHC is seeking a part-time MHA or MBA summer intern to outline, define, and price a series of product offerings for both MA and DA programs. This is a temporary, paid position. Final delivery would include a fully vetted set of product options including pricing and cost proposals and will be presented to the organization’s department team and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The candidate must be highly organized, able to work independently and embrace a collaborative team approach, able to create a project plan and execute against the plan, enjoy research, and be innovative and strategic. This is an exciting opportunity for those planning a career in business or healthcare administration and is suitable for students to gain experience and need to arrange an internship to satisfy degree requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  • Learn about community health centers, the Association, and orient to the MA/DA program, materials, and current product landscape.
  • Use existing SWOT and competitive analyses to outline a series of detailed product offerings (expansion, direct licensing, indirect licensing, partnerships, other).
  • For each product offering, provide a detailed assessment and plan that includes the following elements: a. Cost assessmento Profit assessmento Pricing recommendationso Investment requirements (internal team, marketing, new roles, other) b. Product description (what is being offered, to whom, in what geographies) c. Go to market plano Short and long term strategy
  • Final recommendations will be presented to the In-REACH team, CEO, and later reviewed by the Board of Directors

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MHA or MBA candidate with a B.S. or B.A. in business, finance, or related field
  • Strategic thinking and planning abilities Finance or quantitative analysis skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION

  • 20 hours per week for 6 – 8 weeks with regular team check-ins
  • Will consider remote work.
  • $2000 remuneration.
